Courage

I just started (over the weekend) teaching my kids a bible verse. I'm planning on teaching them a new bible verse every week for them to remember.

On Saturday i taught them "Be strong and of good courage.. for God is with thee" -Joshua 1:9... (That's not the exact verse, i shortened it for them.)

Anyways, on Sunday morning as they were playing Monster hunters (a game Super Guy came up with where they search the house for monsters) Boogie Man was getting afraid, so Super Guy Say's to him "Remember the bible verse from yesterday (he repeats the verse to him) so don't be afraid, God is always with you, you are never truly alone"..

I almost cried (tears of joy) for the fact that he actually UNDERSTOOD the bible verse and that he REMEMBERED it and that he was HELPING his brother by reciting it to him. It just touched my heart in so many ways i can't even explain.  :-)

    It's Wednesday Already?!

    Hi Everyone!!

Between Hubby leaving on Saturday (instead of the usual Monday) and being cooped up in the house taking care of sick kiddos, I've completely lost track of time.

Super Guy brought home some sort of bug on Monday and was nice enough to share with his little brother, wasn't that sweet of him?!

And now today I'm starting to feel sick, I know it's just a matter of time before the baby gets it. Hubby was lucky enough to get out of town just in time. How does he always get so lucky?!

Anyways, I made some yummy chocolate chip banana bread yesterday and I'm thinking tomorrow I will share the pictures & the recipe with you all.

    Have a great night!

    Frugal Tips

    Hi Everyone!!

I thought since I do a lot of postings on coupons, i would share some of my tips for living frugally/saving money with you all.

    1. Haircuts: We save a lot of money, by not going to the barbershop. Hubby cuts his own hair & the boys hair.

    2. Recycle/Re-use: Containers that food comes in (sour cream, pickles, etc.) once they are empty we wash them and use the for other things; Like coin jars & pencil holders. We also save every piece of clothing the kids outgrow, to eventually use on future babies.

    3. Coupons: This one is pretty obvious. We use a lot of coupons to save money on pretty much everything. Even if the coupon is just for $0.25 if you are going to buy that product why not save?! Every Penny Counts!!

Those are our big 3 ways we save money! How do you and your family save money?

    Big Announcement

I have a Big Announcement! (No it's not what you think, it's kinda hard to get pregnant with your hubby gone all the time!)

I've decided to home school my children!!

It wasn't an easy decision to make, lots of sleepless nights worrying about if I'm making the right decision.

But in the end, I do feel like it is the best decision for Our Family.

    April in Idaho

Flowers blooming, grass growing, spontaneous rain storms; it must be April in Idaho. :-)

Today me and the kiddos went to Lowe's and bought some seeds and potting soil. We are going to grow our own herbs and tomatoes. We are all super excited about it!

While we were browsing the isles and deciding which seeds to get, we stumbled upon a Venus Fly Trap. Super Guy begged insisted we get one. So guess which family is the new proud owner of a Venus Fly Trap, yep that's right, this one right here!

I know, I know, you are so jealous right now...

I mean who wouldn't want this beautiful plant in their house?! Just look at it..

    (Yes i was being sarcastic)

But if this plant makes my son happy, then i will have to get past the ugly look of them and just get used to the fact that there will be less flies around our house this summer! That's a Win/Win situation if you ask me! :-)
