New books

I'm such a nerd, but new books excite me.

Even if they aren't for me, and they are for my 8 year old, i still get excited.

I ordered some new books for him and they just arrived today.

My weekend will be spent reading these books, just to make sure he will be able to read them without any problems.

Here is the list of books:

1. The boy who held back the sea by Thomas Locker
2. The drinking gourd by F. N. Monjo
3. The bravest dog ever; The true story of Balto by Natalie Standiford
4. The bears on Hemlock mountain by Alice Dalgliesh
5. The hardy boys; The tower treasure by Franklin W. Dixon


I've read really great reviews on all these books, but i'll let you know what i think of them once i'm done.

Random Wednesday Cuteness

Dinner: Eating out at a restaurant that the birthday boy's picking

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today was pretty much a normal day for us, we had school, but after we finished our work we had some fun!! We played some games (we did our own Valentine version of Minute To Win It.) and ate some candy (and when i say some i really mean A LOT). Here are some pictures of our Valentines Day!

Working on Valentines Cards for each other. 

Playing one of our "Minute to Win It" games.. For this game you have to stack conversation hearts on top of each other and whoever has the tallest stack after 60 seconds wins!

Next "Minute to Win It" game... Bite the ends off Valentine Candy Corn and stick it to a paper plate, whoever makes it furthest around in 60 seconds wins!

Pregnancy *21 Weeks*

Only 19 more weeks to go!!! Time is just flying by!!

21 Weeks


Baby:

Baby is about the size of a carrot.
Baby should be measuring about 10 1/2 inches long.
Baby should weigh almost 1 pound.


Mommy:

Insomnia,
Hemorrhoids,
Heartburn, &
Round Ligament Pain. Are just some of the things I've been experiencing lately.


Hopes for this week:

The insomnia has me pretty tired, so i hope to catch up on some sleep this week.

Room Decorating

This is what i've been doing lately. Trying to figure out how to decorate the boys' room. They have a bunk bed and they are at different stages, so i think that is making it more difficult.

 For example my youngest son is still into the character decor (angry birds, obviously), while my oldest isn't anymore.

My oldest hasn't really had a complete bedding set since he was like 4, lately he has just been using random blankets, etc.

So the search has been on lately for a: non-character, non-babyish, non-adult bedding set.. And let me tell you, its been difficult.

He decided he wanted an Ocean/Water animal theme. Everything we had found was either too little kid or too adult... But then we found one he really liked....

We all really liked it, but i wasn't about to spend $300 on a bedding set. So the search continued...

 Then  yesterday  i happened to stumble upon the PERFECT bedding. Great price (under $20) and it had the water animal theme (alligators). Check it out...

Not bad right? Now my newest mission is to decorate their room (lamp, picture frames, etc.) in something that will match my youngest's bedding (angry birds) and my oldest's bedding (the alligator one).

So for that i'm thinking just to go with a blue theme because both of their bedding has blues in it. What do you think?

It's a.....

We had our 20 week anatomy scan ultrasound last week, Baby is doing great!! :-) And we also decided to find out the sex of the baby (which is something we haven't done since our first)... So without further adieu....

That's right, It's a BOY!!! :-)
