Happy Thanksgiving 2014

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you were able to spend time with your loved ones.

Our Family spent a nice quiet (well, as quiet as it can be with 4 little ones around) day at home.

The kiddos spent the morning playing outside in the snow!

They really worked up an appetite which is good, cause i had a lot of food ready for them!

While snacking, we had the football games on and then the kids built some Lego's, which is pretty much the norm in Our House.

Hubby's employee's came over for Thanksgiving Dinner and because i was busy with all the cooking, i completely forgot to take any pictures of our dinner. Then, like right before bed, i realized i hadn't even taken a picture of Baby Boy. So i grabbed my camera to take a least one picture of him on his first Thanksgiving.

Like i said, it was just a nice quiet day at home, and i'm so very grateful for that.

How was your Thanksgiving?

Essential Oils

How To Get Started With Essential Oils

We've been trying to get healthy here in Our Family for awhile now. We've cut back on sugar, we've been exercising more regularly and drinking plenty of water. Somehow that isn't enough, because a lot of members of Our Family still suffer from headaches, stomachs, and not to mention seasonal allergies. So when i set out looking for more on what we could do as a family to be even healthier, i started hearing all these great benefits of essential oils, i thought now would be a great time for Our Family to try them.

Young Living Oils

When i did my research on essential oils, i found out Young Living Oils owns their own farms. They also have this process called Seed to Seal, which insures purity. That was really important to me!

Want To Try Young Living Oils?

You can get started with Young Living Oils in one of two ways, as a Retail Customer or a Wholesale Member. Retail customers pay FULL retail price, which is why i don't recommend it.

Wholesale Member's get a wonderful 24% discount off retail price on every Young Living Product.

They have 3 starter kits to pick from. I really recommend the Premium starter kit, it retails for over $300, but as a wholesale member you get a 50% discount.

The Premium Starter Kit includes:

5 mL bottles of the following essential oils:
  -Lavender
  -Frankincense
  -Lemon
  -Peppermint
  -Melaleuca Alternifolia
  -Joy
  -Purification
  -PanAway
  -Thieves
  -Stress Away

You also get:

-A Home Diffuser
-A bonus oil! 5mL of Citrus Fresh
-Aroma Glide roller fitment (to turn any oil into a roll on)
-10 sample packets total of Lavender, Peppermint, Peace & Calming, Lemon, and Thieves for travel or sharing with friends and family.
-2 NingXia Red 2 oz. samples (a yummy antioxidant)

Plus, If you buy the Premium Starter Kit through my link, I'll send you a FREE book!! (Although Young Living delivers worldwide, i'll only send this to USA residents.)

This book is so handy and it's helped me a lot, i'm sure it will help you too!

Get Started Today

1. Click over to the sign up page

2. Select "Sign Up as a Wholesale Member"

3. The "Enroller ID" and "Sponsor ID" boxes should already be filled in for you. If they aren't, my ID is 2239865 and you can fill in both boxes with this number.

4. Fill out all your information (name, address, phone number, etc.). They ask you for your SSN for tax purposes (if you make over $600 a year they will send you a 1099 form as required by law.) Young Living Oils will never give out your information.

5. Create your username, password and pin number.

6. Select which starter kit you want. There are 3 choices - Basic, Plus, and Premium. (Remember if you sign up for the Premium starter kit, i'll send you the free book "Quick Reference Guide for Using Essential Oils")

7. Set up your Optional Essential Rewards Program. You can skip this step by selecting "No, Thank You". You can always enroll in this Optional Program later.

8. Agree to the terms and conditions.

9. Confirm your order. Don't miss this step, because then you wouldn't get your essential oils.

That's all!! Congratulations!! And Welcome to the wonderful world of Essential Oils!!

4th Grade Reading List {Freebie}

Hi Everyone!!

As a homeschooler, i am in charge of EVERYTHING when it comes to my children's education. The thing i have struggled with lately is reading, more specifically them reading books that are at their level.

Sure we have bookshelves filled with books and yes we take trips to the local library, but what books should they be checking out? How do i know if this book is helping them develop (and continue to grow) their reading skills or holding them back for being too easy?

I spent hours searching the internet for book lists and i really couldn't find exactly what i was looking for.

So i decided to create my own.

And today i'm going to be sharing with you, my 4th grade reading list.

As you can see there are columns for each of the following:

Title (there are some blank spaces so you can add your own)
Author
Read (check this box off once your child has read the book)
Own (if you own the book, check this box)
Library (if this is a library book, check this box)

My son takes this list to the library with him every time we go, and he can pick 1 book off the list and any other 1 book he wants.

You can download my 4th grade reading list for yourself, HERE.

Happy Reading!! :-)

Bath Time {Freebie}

Hi Everyone!!

Today is my....

 "Mommy Confession Time"

I'm not sure about you, but I have the hardest time keeping track of when my children last bathed.

Now before you start thinking my children are dirty, let me assure you they aren't... We give our kids baths every other day, but sometimes one child takes a bath on a different day from the others (he/she got extra dirty that day, etc.) and that's when things get confusing... When did he take a bath? Who's night is tonight?

That's why i decided to make a handy printable for our bathroom...

Once i printed it out, i laminated it. That way i can write on it with dry erase markers.

I filled in the dates for this week.

Then i put my children's first initial in the box on the day they last took a bath.

Next i taped it up in our bathroom.

I also decided to make one for if you only have one child, or if you would rather each child has their own.

All you do is fill out your child's name and put in the dates.

Then fill in the box on the day they last took a bath.

You can download this Free printable, HERE.

Enjoy!

Holiday Stock-up list {Freebie}

Hi Readers!!

With Thanksgiving less than 2 weeks away and Christmas only 39 days away, i thought now would be the perfect time to start stocking up for the holidays.

I always do a lot of baking and cooking around the holidays, and i always seem to forget to buy enough of things that i need at the store, and also with having people over for the holidays i seem to run out of household products like crazy too. So i always end up have to make trip after trip. With living out in the country this year, it won't be feasible to make trip after trip.

So this year I've decided to make a handy printable stock up list guide.

It has a column of all the items i need to stock up on, how much i'll need to buy of each item, and a check off box (once I've bought that item).

I have a page for food items (Pictured Above) and one page for household items (Pictured Below).

I've also created and empty page for me to add in other items i need to stock up on.

And because I'm in the holiday spirit (and because i love my readers), i'm sharing this handy printable with YOU!!

You can download my Holiday Stock Up Guide, HERE.

Enjoy and Happy Holidays!! :-)

Shipment Tracker {Freebie}

Hi Everyone!!

I do a lot of online shopping for our homeschool (curriculum, books, etc.) and now with living in the country, with not many stores around, i'll be doing a lot of my holiday shopping online.

With the holidays approaching i know a lot of you will also be doing online shopping, especially if you live out in the boondocks like me!!

But doing a lot of online shopping gets confusing for me... When did i order that package? When is the other one going to be delivered? Where did i put my tracking #'s??

If you are ordering from several different websites it can get overwhelming trying to remember everything.

Enter, my lovely little Shipment Tracker printable...

How i plan to use it...

1. Keep it next to the computer.

2. Once you've placed an order online; write down the date, website name, item(s).

3. Once you get an email saying your item(s) has shipped fill in the estimated delivery, tracking # & Carrier boxes.

4. Once your package has been delivered put in the date it was received.

Would this be a help to you? Go ahead and download your own Shipment Tracker, HERE, for FREE.

Happy Shopping!!!! :-)
