I printed my planner out on regular paper, but you could use cardstock, if you want something a little bit sturdier.

And then i used my Fellowes Binding Machine to bind it all together.

Now it's ready to use! Super easy! (If you don't have the binding machine, you could use a 3-ring binder, or anything else, it's super customizable that way!!)

Happy Holidays

Hi Guys!

I kinda fell off the Blogmas wagon, but for my first time ever doing Blogmas i made it 17 days, so i'm pretty proud of myself for that. Especially since i didn't plan to do Blogmas at all, i only decided to do it on the actual first day of Blogmas!

Hopefully i will do it again next year, and be able to make it all the way through.

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas. We were really hoping to have a white Christmas, but that didn't happen. However, a few days after Christmas we got a good dusting of snow, so the kids were happy with that.

Right now we are really looking forward to the new year, i'm already starting to work on a list of goals for 2019. I'd love to hear what some of your goals are for the new year.

That's all i really wanted to say, i hope you all are doing well.

Oh and If you are a blogger yourself, be sure to stop by again tomorrow, as i will have my 2019 blog planner up on my blog for free!

Until then, take care!

Christmas Crafts {Blogmas Day 16}

Hi Guys!

I shared some fun Christmas crafts a few years ago, but they are still pretty awesome crafts that i thought they were worth sharing again today...

Beaded Snowflakes

Supplies needed:

Pipe stems
Pony Beads

Directions:

Take 3 pipe stems and arrange them so they overlap in the middle.
Twist the centers of the pipe stems together.
Start adding on beads to the ends of your snowflake. (I liked the blue and white ones, but the kiddos wanted to do colorful ones.)

Once you have added your beads you can curl the ends and ta-da you have a snowflake!!

Or, you could do like my Hubby recommended and make it into an ornament! (Thanks Hubby!)

This is how we did that...

Once we had added all our beads we folded the sides up, to make a ball. Then we took an additional pipe stem and tied all the ends together. Then we hung them on the tree.

Christmas Lights

Supplies needed:

White Cardstock Paper
Paint
Black Sharpie

Directions:

Take a black sharpie and draw a swirly line on your paper. Then add in little squares along the swirly line to be the bulb bottom.

Next have your child dip their pointer finger in some paint and push it right above the black squares. You could have your child do a pattern or just randomly do it.

And that's all there is to it!! Pretty easy!!

Snowman Felt Ornament

Supplies needed:

Rolled Felt Snowman Ornament Kit
Hot Glue Gun

Directions:
All you have to do is follow the directions that were included in the kit. Super Easy!!

What are your favorite Christmas arts/crafts???

I got the idea for Beaded Snowflakes, HERE and the idea for the Christmas Lights, HERE.

Graham Cracker Gingerbread Houses {Blogmas Day 15}

Hi Guys!

Today i'm sharing a fun take on gingerbread houses, Graham Cracker houses...

20181214_100943

This is an easy project, here's what you will need...
  • Graham Crackers
  • Vanilla Frosting
  • Assorted candies & sprinkles

20181214_101002

I place some frosting on the bottom of a paper plate. Then i start adding the graham crackers and frost each side of them as i add them to the house.

20181214_101005

I don't worry about it looking nice and neat, because you need the frosting all over the house for the candies and sprinkles to stick to it.

And that's it, once you have assembled the house, have the kids decorate it however they want to.

20181214_101937

Then enjoy eating the masterpieces!

Holiday Blues {Blogmas Day 13}

Hi Guys!

Today i'm talking with about holiday blues, which is something i struggle with most years.

Holiday blues

Most years we don't get to spend the holidays with my parents, and without them here with us for the holidays it can make me feel down and make it feel as though it's just another day.

I can also get so caught up in; buying all the presents, wrapping all the presents, baking all the cookies, etc... that i just start to feel burnt out.

So between not being with family and having to do all the things, i start having not much Christmas spirit.

Here is how i try to not feel so down...
  1. I keep in contact with my parents. -  Even though they won't be here physically, i can at least call them up and hear their voices. Just laughing with my mom on the phone can take away a sad/down day for me.
  2. I don't do it all at once. - Shopping for gifts, wrapping gifts, etc. I spread it out in chunks, so it's not as overwhelming.
  3. I take more 'me time' during the holidays. - Long baths, crocheting, etc. Just spending a few extra minutes here and there doing something that makes me happy helps lift my spirits during the hustle and bustle of the holidays.
  4. I do a lot of my shopping online. - Stores stress me out even more, so doing a lot of my shopping online takes away a lot of holiday stress for me.
That's how i handle holiday blues. I'd love to hear your tips/tricks on how to beat the holiday blues!

My Wish List {Blogmas Day 12}

Hi Guys!

For day 12 of Blogmas, i'm sharing what's on my wish list this Christmas. My kids and husband have been asking me over and over what i want for Christmas, and it's always difficult for me to come up with things.

My husband and I buy what we need throughout the year, and when it comes to Christmas we usually only buy each other 1-2 things so that way we each have a least something to unwrap.

So you will see my wish list is short and i'm more of a practical gift giver, so there's not really anything fun on my list. But i thought i would share anyways in case someone is needing some ideas.

my wish list

So without further ado here is my wish list this year...
  1. 2019 Planner - I really loved using my happy planner this year, it's so useful!

2.  Pens - I love these pens so much, and use them daily.

3. Bullet Journal - I bought one last year, but would love to start fresh with a new one in 2019.

81vGXoGUp0L._SL1500_

4. Lettering and Modern Calligraphy - I really want to get better at handwriting and i think doing something like this would help and also be fun at the same time.

5. Tea Infuser - I shared this the other day in my Quirky Gifts idea post, and i really want one. My husband and i have been drinking more tea lately, that i think this would be a  fun addition to tea time.

That's all on my wish list this year, i know it's mostly boring office products, but that's what i like.

What's on your wish list this year?

Holiday Home Tour 2018 {Blogmas Day 11}

Hi Guys!

Today i'm sharing with you all our holiday decor.

holiday home tour

I like to think that i don't go too over the top with holiday decor, but it might seem like a lot for some people. You'll have to let me know what you think in the comments.

I'll start first with the living room...

IMG_5177

My favorite part of the living room is the plant ledge. I think it turned out great this year!! On the plant ledge this year, we have; some fake snow sheets on the floor, empty wrapped boxes, 2 small light up trees, and Rudolph.

Inside the black box wall shelf unit we have more decorations; candles, nutcrackers, and pine cones, etc. *The shelf unit isn't croaked like it looks in the picture, i just took this photo at an angle.*

IMG_5231

Up next in the entry way on a shelf, we have our nativity. We have had this nativity for a very long time now.

IMG_5238

In the dinning room we have this sign i bought at Hobby Lobby.

IMG_5235

Also in the dinning room we have our letter board, which i update every day with a new Christmas quote.

IMG_5234

This year we had to hang the stockings in our stairway.

IMG_5227

In my bedroom i have this little countdown setup going on...

IMG_5225

I bought the mini trees and mini chalkboard at Target in the dollar section area.

That's about it for inside Christmas decor, besides some Christmas bedding.
We have lights on the outside of our house and a wreath hanging on the front door, but that's all and really not worth showing.

Do you go all out with holiday decor? Or are you the less is more type of person?
