Hi Guys!

A few weeks ago i shared my idea for an Anniversary Box. Well, since yesterday was our anniversary i thought i would share how the Anniversary Box went.

Here's what my husband and I ended up putting in our box:

We had a lot of fun doing this. Other things we both thought about adding to the box, but didn't get around to doing, were:
  • Movie tickets
  • Wine
  • Massage oils
  • Cookbook (to try new recipes together)
  • Small decor items for the bedroom
I think this will be a new tradition for us every year, because it was so much fun! If you end up doing an anniversary box of your own, let me know! I'd love to hear about your experience.

Marriage Surviving Through Hard Times

Hi Guys!

I'm back with another Monday Marriage post.

Today i'm talking about how to have your marriage not just survive, but thrive during hard times.

photo-1503314885798-a70f8f9028d3

We all face hard times in our lives. Whether it's for a day, week, month, or even years. There are going to be hard times.

My husband and i went through a really rough patch during the recession of 2008/2009. We lost just about everything. However, our marriage was able to survive. How did we do it?

Faith.

Communication.

Fighting.

We had to keep a strong faith that everything would turn out just fine in the end. Otherwise we would have been just miserable. When you have a positive attitude, even during the hardest of times, it makes those hard times easier to bare.

Keeping open lines of communication is always a must in relationships. Just being able to say to your significant other, hey i'm having a bad day and having them talk you through it is major.

Fighting for your marriage. Fighting for your significant other. It's so important.

If you do all those 3 things; keeping faith, communicating, and fighting for your marriage during hard/challenging times, you will see at the end of your troubles your marriage has not only found a way to survive but it has thrived. You both are more connected then ever.

And if any new troubles come your way, you now have the knowledge (and first hand experience) of how to survive them.

Bikini Body Mommy (Intro/Progress)

Hi Guys!

I've decided i'm going to try to post fitness/wellness stuff on Fridays.

I started doing Bikini Body Mommy back in October/November 2017 and had great success with it, however the holidays hit and i stopped doing it.

Now i'm back at it.

So what exactly is Bikini Body Mommy?

bikinibodymommy-400x400-300x300

It's free YouTube workout videos, however she also has a website with more stuff to offer like; meal plans, cookbooks, etc.

I've just been using the free YouTube videos. I'm doing challenge 1.0

I'm on day 25 of a 90 day challenge.

What i love about these workouts is that most of them are under 20 minutes. Which makes it so easy to fit into my day. I also love that they don't require any extra equipment, just some weights.

If you haven't heard of it before, and are looking for something to do from the comfort of your house i would definitely give Bikini Body Mommy a try. But be prepared to be incredibly sore for the first 2 weeks.

House/Life Updates

Hi Guys!

It's been awhile since i've updated on how things are going with the new house, animals, etc. So today i thought would be a good day to share all that.

photo-1413873368506-ec5bf85d4320

My parents visited last month and while they were here they built us an amazing chicken coop!

My girls are so spoiled!

*This photo was taken before the chicken coop got painted red.*

Speaking of the chickens, they are all still doing really well. Hazel, our crooked beak chicken, is struggling to gain weight. However, we think we have found a better way for her to eat and she seems to be doing well.

Anniversary Box

Hi Guys!

This month my husband and i will be celebrating 15 years of marriage. So i thought it would be fun to do a marriage post every Monday for the rest of August.

Today i'm going to share with you, this idea that came to me a few years ago, after reading a sexy stocking post from The Dating Divas.

An Anniversary Box.

IMG_4418

Here's the general idea, you and your spouse fill up the anniversary box with fun stuff for the both of you to enjoy together (movie tickets, lotions, dvd's, massage oils, etc.) and then on your anniversary you open it up together.

I just used an old Bath & Body Works box i had laying around, but you could really use anything you want.

Since our anniversary is the 21st of August, we would start filling up our anniversary box on August 1st, and by the 21st we should have plenty of goodies inside.

I hope you enjoy this idea, if you try it be sure to let me know!
