7 Days Til Christmas!!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to my wonderful and amazing husband!!! I love you babe with all my heart!! And i'm so glad that we get to grow old together!! :) xoxoxo

Big News!!

It's been a year since Hubby started working in North Dakota.. That means it's been a year of him driving back and forth, and with there being no work here in Idaho, the only reason he has been traveling back and forth is for me and the kids.

It has taken a toll on all of us, the kids aren't as close to their daddy as they used to be. Our relationship has also been affected, every time he comes back home its as if he is a stranger and it takes a few days to feel reconnected, but then by that time, he is off again.. :(

So it was time to make a decision, not have him work there anymore and try to find work here (which would be next to impossible) OR all of us move there...

And so after adding up all our monthly expenses and coming to the realization that we would be spending the same amount of money there each month as we do here, we decided, its time to move there and be together again as a family.

Is it scary to pack up your family and move them over 900 miles away from the only home they have ever known??? ABSOLUTELY!!!!

But i think it will be more than worth it to keep this family together and connected!! :)

We leave the day after Christmas!!

Wish us luck!! (Driving over 900 miles with a 6 month old, we are going to need all the luck in the world, lol)

10 Days until Thanksgiving

I can't believe it (how did this year go by so fast?!) only 10 more days until Thanksgiving!!!

Me and the boys made a Thanksgiving countdown calendar, last week. On each of the days leading up to Thanksgiving day, i had the boys write down one thing they are thankful for, today's thing they are thankful for is.....

Anyways, i was looking at all my posts and i realized i haven't updated in awhile, so here goes..

Super Guy, is doing awesome, as usual! :) Every Friday, since school has started, he has had a spelling test, and he has got a 100% on almost every one of them!!

He is reading more and more each day! On Saturday he helped me make a grocery list and I'm just amazed at how much he can spell and write!! :)

His favorite subject in school is Math and his least favorite is computers.

He is still totally obsessed with Transformers, he dressed up as Optimus Prime for Halloween! :) And he also loves Lego's!

Boogie Man has a cold right now, but other than that he is doing awesome! :)

He is also totally obsessed with Transformers (he was bumblebee for Halloween), but he is starting to get into Cars (the movie) too.

If you are warming something up in the microwave, he absolutely has to count the numbers down and if you stop it before it says "End" he gets upset. Same thing goes with the washer & dryer, he has to check on them a million times and always has to tell me how much time is left.

He is starting to write more, he writes the letters "o, b, & v" pretty good. :)

And when you ask him what he wants to do, normally his response will be "make cupcakes", lol.

Jelly Bean also has a cold right now, but other than that, she is amazing! She will be 6 months old tomorrow! :)

She rolled all the way on to her stomach, by herself, for the first time on November 5th!! :)

She has started eating baby cereal, which she liked ok for the first couple of bites, but then started to hate it. We are starting her on baby food this week! Hopefully that goes better!

She loves to grab anything and everything she can reach, her hand/eye coordination is amazing! (watch out brothers, your toys are fair game now, lol)

She can sit alone unsupported for a few minutes.

She still gets up several times at night, but we're hoping that once she starts crawling and eating baby food, she will sleep through the night *fingers crossed*

So that's about it that has been going on with the kids lately, they keep me pretty busy, but i seriously can't imagine my life without them!! :) I love them all more than anything!! :)

October in Idaho

As you probably know by now (cause i say it every year, lol) Fall is my absolutely FAVORITE season!!

I have always loved the cooler weather, the beautiful colors of the leaves changing, Lazy Sunday's watching football, pumpkin patches, fresh apples, etc., etc. ( i could seriously go on and on, cause there isn't one thing i don't like about this time of year, but i think you get the picture, lol)

So today i thought i would share a few pictures i took of the beautiful trees and their amazing colors!

Today i am going to take advantage of the cooler weather and do some baking! :) Which is no small task with a 5 month old & a 3 year old who both constantly want your attention, so wish me luck! :)

I FINALLY (after searching 4 different stores) found a walker for Jelly Bean!!! I'm so excited, i can't wait for her to wake up from her nap, so we can try it out!!

As i posted earlier it is a rainy day here today, so here is a Conversation me and Super Guy had today..

Super Guy: Today isn't a good day for me, but i know you like it.

Me: Yes i do, i love the rain.

Super Guy: Why?

Me: Because it reminds me of my home and i miss my home, so when it rains it makes me feel like i am back home.

Super Guy: Why don't you just move back home and we can come and visit you.

Me: Won't you miss me if i were to move back home?

Super Guy: Yeah, but i'll come visit you.

*Snuggles*

Well it is a cold and rainy day here, again (3rd day in a row), so my babies are just snuggling in my bed today, trying to keep warm :) I love them so much!

My newest obsession!

It all started about 3 weeks ago, i was watching a marathon of Extreme Couponing on TLC, and i thought to myself "if they can save their families money by couponing, why can't i?".

It was a Sunday, so i went and bought the newspaper, and started clipping coupons. I also went online and found The Krazy Coupon Lady (KCL). That site makes it so easy to coupon, they tell you which coupons you should use & where to use them at. With the help of KCL i've gotten several items for free (like toothpaste and febreze products) and several other products for really low prices (like laundry detergent for 2.99)!

I don't think i'm going to stop anytime soon, i love that i am helping my family out by saving us money. Especially in these difficult times, it feels really good that i can contribute!

Sad day

So not only did my hubby leave today, but today is 9/11, so already it is a pretty sad day.. Especially with all the news coverage.. :( It's been 10 years, but watching the events of that day, is still so heartbreaking! :(

My heart goes out to everyone that lost someone on this day! They are in my thoughts and prayers!

Welcome Home!

He's back!!! :) Yay, Yay, Yay!!!!

Hubby arrived back home last night at 1:30 am, so technically this morning! We are so happy to have him back home safe and sound... Super Guy didn't even want to go to school this morning! :)

My First Grader

Today is the day, Summer is over for us and school started back up again.

The first day is always the hardest i think, after spending every day together for 3 months (even though he drives me crazy sometimes) you get used to hearing him play and all the noises he makes just fills the house up. Now coming back home after dropping him off, the house fells so empty and quite.

I'm excited for him to make some new friends and learn new and exciting things.

Sweet Boy

I love love LOVE that my little man, asks me hundreds of times each day "Mommy am i your best friend?".... I always answer him with "for always and forever" :)

He also tells me hundreds of times each day "Mommy i love you".. :)

Doesn't get any better than that!

Random Cuteness For The Day!!!

Weekly update 8-21/8-27

Sunday: Hubby and I, celebrated 8 years of marriage. The time has just flown by. We went out to dinner at Cool Hand Luke's, in Eagle. We ordered the steak nachos for an appetizer although it was super delicious, it was a lot of food, so most of it came with us in a box.. If you ever do eat there though, i do recommend ordering the strawberry lemonade, it was so good. :)


After dinner we took a little walk along the Eagle Greenbelt, it was a beautiful summer night. It was nice being able to talk to each other without having to yell over the children's noises.

Then we went to U-Swirl, which is a frozen yogurt place where you get to create your own.. It was delicious :) We had a great night and can't wait to spend some more time alone.. :)

Monday: We found out who Super Guy's first grade teacher is going to be.. He starts next Tuesday the 30th, Which reminds me that i really need to finish his back to school shopping.. How did the summer go by so fast without me noticing?!

Jelly Bean still gets up 3-4 times a night, i really to get her on a better sleep schedule, starting tomorrow... Hopefully it will work!

Tuesday: Boogie Man (as previously mentioned in my last blog post) is Fully Potty Trained!!! Couldn't be happier.... And Jelly Bean, took a 2 hour nap this morning!!!! WooHoo!!! That never happens, she has been strictly a cat napper, since she was born...

Wednesday: Hubby left for North Dakota. :( Tuesday night we found out that my Grandpa (who has lung cancer) was in the hospital due to his kidneys shutting down and low blood pressure, So we went and visited him.

Thursday: I did some back to school shopping cause Tuesday is getting closer and closer... Also Boogie Man is still doing amazing with the potty training, no accidents, still going poop in the potty (several times a day).. :)

Friday: I haven't been able to sleep much a night, but that's not because of Jelly Bean, she is doing awesome!! only waking up once a night!! Love her so much for that!!! Finished all the back to school shopping today, Super Guy picked out his backpack, and yep you guessed it, its Transformers!! :) Summer just flew by, but i'm really excited for him to start school again..

Saturday: We had a lazy day at home. Weekends are when we usually do stuff together as a family, so weekends are the hardest part of the week without Hubby.. Jelly Bean, is not really getting down the whole napping thing like i wanted her to, hopefully soon she will pick it up. Boogie Man is still doing great with the potty, no accidents at all!!! :)

The week flew by, next week should be a busy one for us, with Super Guy starting school and all, i'll try to find time to update the blog and of course i'll have to post pictures of him on his first day of school!! :)

My baby boy is growing up....

It all started about a month ago, he wanted to put his shoes on all by himself, no help what so ever.. Yeah sure there were a few times he put the right shoe on the left foot, but that didn't matter to him, he did it himself, he was a big boy and so proud of himself. :)

About 3-4 days ago, he started wanting to dress himself... No help from mommy or daddy.. All by himself... and Yes he put his underware on backwards and his pants too.. but he did it himself, and he was proud :)

And now the best thing of all, he wants to go poop in the potty!!! He hasn't pooped his pants in about a month now :) Just today, so far, he has gone poop in the potty 3 times!! :)

Sure, im kinda sad that my baby boy, wants to be so independent, and doesn't need his mommy anymore... But on the other hand, i am sooooooo PROUD of him!!

Miss you

Hubby is out of town, so i was telling the boys this morning how much i miss him and Boogie Man says to me " I miss Grandma and Grandpa" and then Super Guy said " Me too, i wish we could go to their house" .... Aww they sure can say the sweetest things sometimes..

Super Guy's Basketball

So Super Guy started playing basketball last month, each week he has a practice and a game..

The name of his team is the Spurs! (yes i picked which team he is on, because i love the spurs!!)

Tonight he played against the Celtics... And even though they don't keep score, i think his team won yet again.. :)
