Let's Talk... Spanish Curriculum

Today is day 5 of my Let's Talk Curriculum posts, and today i'm talking about Spanish Curriculum...

Spanish Curriculum

For my Hubby, having the kids learn Spanish is super important. That is why we shelled out the extra money to buy Rosetta Stone, which is super pricey. Here are my thoughts on it.

Rosetta Stone Spanish (Latin America)

Pros:
  • I love that focuses on pronunciation. You hear them say the word and then you have to repeat it back into this special microphone.
  • Able to set up several accounts, so i can use it with each of my kids. Great for keeping track of each of their progress.
Cons:
  • Price - like i said it is a lot of money.
  • Not very customizable - Even though, to set up an account for each kid you have to enter in their age, they start them out all with learning the same words. Which i'm sure they have a reason for, but i wish for like a kindergartner age they would start with simple words.

We have also used COAH Spanish Vocabulary Flashcards, which is a free printable!

Now it's your turn, what's your favorite Spanish (or other foreign language) Curriculum?
