February Reading List
You know the saying " So many books, so little time", i feel like that fits perfectly for this month. February is such a short month and yet I've decided to read 4 books this month ,and i have my eye on another 2 or 3.
Anyways, here's what we are reading this month.
Samuel - 7th Grade, 12 years old
I Dared To Call Him Father - This is a book he is assigned to read for our homeschool.
Sugar Creek Gang 7-12 - I bought the first 6 books for him last month and he loved them. He finished them so quickly. He is now on to books 7-12, which i am sure he will finish them this month.
Dasean - 4th Grade, 9 years old
The Indian In The Cupboard - He is finishing it up this month.
Sugar Creek Gang 1-6 - He is now reading them, since Samuel finished them and recommended them to him.
Karina - 1st Grade, 6 years old
The Adventures Of Chatterer The Red Squirrel - I read this book to her in our homeschool.
The Runt Pig - She is learning how to read and this book is part of the All About Reading curriculum.
Veronica - Me
One Of Us Is Lying - I'm really into mysteries/thrillers. I've heard good things about this book.
Except the Dying (Murdoch Mysteries) - Another mystery book. I love watching Murdoch Mysteries on Netflix/Amazon, so i thought i would give the books a chance.
Praying Circles Around Your Children - This looks like a quick read, it's a little over 100 pages, but it seems to be packed with good parenting information. And i'm always looking for good parenting books.
She Is Yours (Trusting God as You Raise the Girl He Gave You) - Again, another parenting book. This book had such great reviews (4.9 Stars out of 5), that i'm really excited to read it.
Read Aloud
Little House In The Big Woods - We are finishing this book up this month
The Children's Book of Virtues - This book isn't what i thought it would be (we started it last month), which i think kinda threw me off and now i'm not really sure if i like it or hate it. We will continue reading it and then i'll let you know.
50 Things Every Young Gentleman Should Know - I really want to raise good kids (doesn't everybody), but sometimes i don't even know the appropriate way to handle certain situations. I'm hoping this book will give my boys the tools they need to be gentlemen and handle all situations correctly.
50 Things Every Young Lady Should Know - This book has a lot of stuff that doesn't apply to my daughter yet (like what is appropriate to post on your Facebook wall), but some of the stuff in here i will start covering with her now (like the please and thank you's, etc.).
That's what we are reading this month. How about you? What book(s) are you reading this month?
