Room Decorating

This is what i've been doing lately. Trying to figure out how to decorate the boys' room. They have a bunk bed and they are at different stages, so i think that is making it more difficult.

 For example my youngest son is still into the character decor (angry birds, obviously), while my oldest isn't anymore.

My oldest hasn't really had a complete bedding set since he was like 4, lately he has just been using random blankets, etc.

So the search has been on lately for a: non-character, non-babyish, non-adult bedding set.. And let me tell you, its been difficult.

He decided he wanted an Ocean/Water animal theme. Everything we had found was either too little kid or too adult... But then we found one he really liked....

We all really liked it, but i wasn't about to spend $300 on a bedding set. So the search continued...

 Then  yesterday  i happened to stumble upon the PERFECT bedding. Great price (under $20) and it had the water animal theme (alligators). Check it out...

Not bad right? Now my newest mission is to decorate their room (lamp, picture frames, etc.) in something that will match my youngest's bedding (angry birds) and my oldest's bedding (the alligator one).

So for that i'm thinking just to go with a blue theme because both of their bedding has blues in it. What do you think?
