Hey Everyone!!
I thought it would be fun to give a little update on what my 3 year old daughter has been up to in Tot School/ Preschool.
She really loves this morning calendar area I've made for her.
I made this using mostly all printables from COAH.
We start our day out by going to our calendar area and switching around what day it is; today, tomorrow & yesterday. Then we add the weather for the day. We also talk about what letter we are studying that week and what shape.
Then she does her daily learning notebook (also from COAH).
After that she will usually work on some different worksheets, based on whatever letter she is learning that week. Or she'll do fun stuff if there is a holiday that week. Here are a few pictures showing some of the "work" she does...
Putting cereal on the letter C.
Matching up same color letter A's.
Showing off her "I Just Voted" sticker on election day, after she had just voted on dessert!
Played with play-doh.
Finding all the letter J's, with a letter J stamp.
Decoding hieroglyphics in her own special 3 year old way! :-)
Wearing her "Ten Apples Up On Top" inspired hat!
Using a thumb tack, to poke holes in the letter B.
Creating the letter C out of pattern blocks.
I do encourage her to do some learning each day, however i don't force it seeing as she is just 3 years old. Usually she loves doing her work though, and is always asking me for more! She was even asking for school work the day after she got out of the hospital!!
Then after she is done with her worksheets, either her brothers or I will read to her. Sometimes she picks to "read" to herself.
She then spends the rest of the day playing!
