Shredded Chicken Recipe

This is one of our family's favorite recipes, we make it at least once a month. It's easy and delicious!

Shredded Chicken

Ingredients:
4 - 6 chicken boneless skinless breasts (4 if large, 6 if small)
Garlic Powder (You could use garlic salt instead)
Oregano leaves (dried)
Lime (1)
15 oz. can of Tomato Sauce


Directions:

1. Put the chicken into a 9x9 baking dish (or crock pot). Sprinkle garlic powder, oregano leaves, and the juice from a lime over the chicken.

2. Then pour the can of tomato sauce on top of chicken. (if you are not a fan of tomato sauce you could substitute chicken broth for a plain version)

3. Bake at 325 for 4 hours. (or if using crock pot, low setting for 6-8 hours)

4. Take it out of the oven and shred using a fork and knife.

5. Serve with rice & beans.
